This module which operates using monitoring agents, deployed one per
each controlled subnetwork, is designed to visualize statistics which
have been created based on network traffic analyses. Such statistics
include a list of stations which are active within one subnetwork,
number of data transferred and received by specific stations,
transmission sizes between computers in subnetworks, and between
computers within an IP network, a number of various types of
transmission errors discovered within a subnetwork, statistics of used
protocols, and TCP and UDP. Beside all these statistics include ratios
of network usage which provide information on the load of transmission
medium. Besides, the module enables you to capture network frames
remotely using a previously defined filter and decode frames which have
been captured in this way on an administrator's computer. This way you
may get detailed information on packages being transferred within a
network, which allows you to diagnose more complicated configurations
errors at network devices. What’s more, it is possible to define several
limit parameters for collected statistics and inform responsible persons
if they are exceeded. The system will also send information if a station
or device which does not exist on network maps appears in any of the
monitored subnetworks. The structure and setup of event information
routing is handled by means of the third module which is the Alert
Manager Module.
