Using an advanced algorithm Anasil discovers and identifies network
devices localized in individual networks. Owing to the advanced device
discovery technology it is possible to identify stations which do not
respond to pings and remain invisible because of programs used such as
fire wall or other protection tools such as Service Pack 2.
When the device discovery process is finished, a list of devices is
created. The list includes various types of: work stations, servers,
switches and printers.
Each of devices is described by information which was obtained in the
network scanning process. The description may include a lot of
additional information such as a DNS name, IP address, MAC address,
description, location, person responsible.
The data is presented as a transparent list, and using grouping
folders views are arranged according to set criteria such as a device
type, subnetwork, location and other.
Visualizing the network
Subnetworks which were identified in network scanning are presented
in a graphic form, including all identified devices.
Devices are grouped automatically according to a location assigned. A
user can also define their own multilevel locations and assign them with
selected devices.
It is possible to present the view according to several criteria such
as an IP name or location. |
